Hardware Knowledge

Understanding computer hardware can be useful for handling complex amounts of software and the data they carry as applications and databases.

Databases

The bulk of our studies is on the most popular database systems – Oracle and Microsoft SQL Servers,  which are all cloud realted. MySQL and NoSQL Big Data will be add-on classes depending on enrollement and space availability.

Oracle Database

Oracle DB is one of the most trusted and widely-used relational database engines worldwide.
Oracle DB rivals Microsoft’s SQL Server in the enterprise database market. Fortunately, the structures of Oracle DB and SQL Server are quite similar, which is a benefit when learning database administration. Oracle DB runs on most major platforms like Windows, UNIX, Linux & Mac OS.

Operating System

A good knowledge of the hardware and especially operating systems is vital for success as an IT expert. We assess each student and tutor them on Linux & Windows Server as needed.

E-Business Suite

This is a high level application that we offer just to a few very talented and experienced DBA’s. You’ll not easily find Apps DBA teachers around the community. Within a few months of training, you can join the ranks of Apps DBAs.

MS SQL Server

Most companies run their smaller databases on MSSQL to save cost. DBA’s with a good knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL are much more in demand than ones with knowledge of only Oracle or only MSSQL. For this reason, we teach all of our fully qualified DBAs MSSQL.
MSSQL WAS primarily designed to compete against Oracle Database (DB) and MySQL.
